Well the Olympics are over. My disapointment is that none of athletes even attempted to make a political statement protesting China's repressive government and its cruel policies such as jailing protesters and its refusal to allow the Dalai Lama into the country for the games. Well I shoulden't be surprised. You can browse down and search for my real thoughts of the Olympics I wrote two weeks ago.
So here is a photo of three past Olympians who took a stand during the games in Mexico city in 1968: John Carlos & Tommie Smith of America and Peter Norman of Australia. We all should know of the sacrifices of these brave athletes and human beings. Athletes of today take notice and find some perspective.
