I have been a fan of Green Bay Packers Quarterback Brett Favre for years and when he announced his retirement in tearful fashion earlier in the year, I choked up too. It all seemed to be the perfect opportunity for him to go out in style...except that he doesn't want to go now. Apparently Favre asked to come back to the Packers and depending on who you ask, its not going to happen the way that he wants. Now he is saying that he wants the Packers to release him so he can play elsewhere. Wow, this soap opera saga shows no sign of letting up soon. I hope that it can be settled amicably for the Packer's sake and for Brett Favre who is unquestionably a first ballot Hall of Fame candidate and deservedly so.
