Brother Malcolm X would have turned 85 today. As I think about the life of this great man, I wonder what he would think about what is happening today. I know that he would be proud of President Obama but he would be dismayed at the many ills that plague Blacks in this country. The school dropout rate, the violence against Black women by Black men, the AIDS crisis against Black women in this country and in Africa and the perpetual Black on Black violence. He would be telling us to keep pushing and always strive to do better. Which indeed is what we as a people must do.Happy birthday Malcolm.
