DAVE WINFIELD CREATES PROGRAM TO HONOR SURVIVING NEGRO LEAGUE PLAYERS

It is important that we always remember and honor those who have come before us. It is in this spirit that I commend Baseball Hall of Fame legend Dave Winfield for creating a program that honors those great individuals that played in the Negro Leagues who never got the opportunity to play Major League ball due to racism and ignorance. The program involves major league teams that draft veterans like Emillio Navarro and honors them in a pre-draft ceremony. This is a gesture that is long overdue. Click here to read more.

My company does video news stories on great people with awesome attitudes -- they don't get much better than some of the Negro League players who broke barriers in baseball!

You can see a video we did at MLB's recent symbolic draft of Negro League players, which includes Millito Navarro, Peanut Johnson and Bill Blair as well as Ken Griffey and Dave Winfield.

I hope you enjoy it!
