Well I have to man up and give the Boston Celtics my congratulations for winning the title. As a Laker fan I am embarrassed and disgusted at the pathetic effort put forth by the team. You don't lose in the NBA finals by 39 points. Past Laker teams would not have let that happen. Boston was simply the better team. They exhibited more energy and hunger than the Lakers who simply to me showed that they didn't want the championship. Mitch Kupchak will have some decisions to make this off season in terms of personnel. Trading Lamar Odom should be at the top of the list. He didn't show up when it counted and basically punked out. Making some changes and the return of Andrew Bynum should keep the Lakers in contention and a better and tougher team.
I also give props to Inglewood native Paul Pierce who also is the series MVP and Coach Doc Rivers who consistently out coached Phil Jackson and becomes only the fifth Black coach in NBA history to lead a team to the title.
