I have always been a fan
of Derek Fisher, the pointguard for the Los Angeles Lakers. He always plays with a passion for the game while never seeking any recognition for himself. You won't find him posturing or giving an attitude, he just goes out on the court game after game and does whatever he has to do to help his team win. This explains why he has always been a co leader on each of the three teams he's played for.
For the past year Fisher and his wife Candace have had to endure the trauma of their infant daughter fighting a rare form of cancer in the eye. It was so bad that the child was at one time in serious condition. In fighting for his beloved daughter, Fisher has had to rely on what he exhibits on the basketball court: Poise, determination, strength and dignity.
