I want to wish Ms. Gina McCauley and her blog "What About Our Daughters?" a very special anniversary. One year ago today, in the wake of the Imus controversy, she launched her blog. The blog world and dare I say the world has happily not been the same since. Since that time she has taken on fools and sell outs like D.L Hughely, Bob Johnson, Debra Lee and Al Sharpton to name a few. However, the blog's focus changed after Gina heard the news of the horrific gang rape at Dunbar Village. She has continued to spotlight it and get Black America to pay attention to what is happening there and other places similar.To top it off she was named as one of the most powerful Black Americans by Essence Magazine.
She has also inspired many people to become bloggers including this humble blogger. Going to her blog everyday and wanting to comment on her posts led me to enter the world of blogging. That is something that I will be forever grateful for.
So if you haven't visited her site, please do and leave an anniversary message. She deserves it after all the good work she has done.
