You know I have seen awards given to individuals who should truly know better than to do the stupid things they do. But there has been such a glut of it lately that I could not stand it anymore. So I am starting Mr. Shadow's Fools R Us Award and the first recipient should be no surprise that it is Nas. To say that I am sickened by the sight of Nas and his seemingly bubbleheaded wife Kelis wearing t-shirts with the word N****r on it is putting it mildly. Someone needs to get those two of whatever the hell the are smoking/snorting and get back to reality.
Anyway there is a good post by my comrade AverageBro who puts this fool in his place and then some on his blog.
So hats off to Nas for being the first of many to go into Mr. Shadow's Fool's R Us Hall of Fame. Thanks Nas for your efforts to throw us all back to the pre-civil rights era where the word that you are so proudly displaying on your chest was uttered with venomous racism and hate. Where innocent Black women, men and children were lynched by individuals who shouted that very hateful word.
Somewhere the ancestors are weeping.
